Monday was the day of processing and official training. A Sebnitz' school opened their rooms for measuring and weighing all the models.

Same procedure as every year: wooden sheets are glued to the brilliant polished racers to archieve the required heigth of the fuselage. Experienced combat pilots are surprised about the check of the license code to be painted at the model (as the rule says!).

Inside the classroom for F2C processing the smell of kerosine is overwhelming. The tanks are blown out using a miniature compressor to remove the last fuel from inside before check-filling. So the residuals are atomized like perfum, but with a special odor!

After the processing comes the offical photo for the German delegation. All in the national robe and finally arranged for "THE PICTURE" .

Between all this is official and free training. Dave Fitzgarald was the unlucky guy to touch the fence of the acro circle when flying. Fortunately the damage was to be repaired on site. Some hours teamwork in the local workshop and Dave found to laughing again.

Also for combat an official training was scheduled but not all teams did so. In the evening a lot of combat teams were called again for re-processing: the engraving of the engines had to be repeated.

The food is good, the weather remains stable and so the general feeling is positive, only some are a bit restless.

Tomorrow morning the business will start. At 8 o'clock the first competitors are called to start.

C U then
